Youths will Determine Next President: Reps Candidate

Henrich Akomolafe, a candidate for the Peoples Democratic Party in Ekiti South federal constituency 1, has stated that without the support of the youth, none of the presidential contenders will be able to prevail in the 2023 elections.

He also emphasized that the youth remained the only group capable of bringing about change in the nation.

Without the youths, according to 29-year-old Akomolafe, there won’t be a 2023 election.

Therefore, he urged every presidential candidate to involve young people in their campaigns to ensure credible, fair, and free elections.

No matter what some politicians may think about the upcoming elections, in his opinion, they cannot be saved by godfatherism unless they also help the youths.

He said, “We’ve seen where the youths of Nigeria are thrown away after elections with fulfilling the promises they made during electioneering. This time would be different. They would guard their votes and vote the most credible people to power come 2023.

“I’m contesting because my people found me worthy to represent them in the National Assembly. That’s why I was given the opportunity in my constituency to represent them.

“I believe the youths have been neglected enough and, at my age, I’m going to be the youngest lawmaker to represent my people in Abuja.

“Let me use this time out to celebrate with my Muslim brothers on this auspicious event of Eid-el-Kabir. I pray for blessing and a peaceful nation.”
