Nigerian comedian Debo Adedayo (Mr. Macaroni) has reemphasized the necessity for the youth to alter the narrative in the general elections in 2023.
Debo said the youth are sick of suffering brought on by the foolishness and incompetence of the political leaders while addressing a throng at the just completed YouthVoteCountNg mega event in Abuja.
The creator of the sketch recalled the horror of the #EndSars Protest and emphasized that it was pastime for the youth to take back the nation from the tyrannical authorities.
In order to improve Nigeria, he predicted that the youth will mobilize themselves more than ever, get their voter registration cards, and keep an eye on the election process.
He said: “We are tired of suffering. We are going to do the work together, get our PVCs and come out and vote aggressively. People who think our clamour is limited to online spaces don’t get it. This time, we are going to come out massively and take charge.
“Another reason we must collect our PVCs is the #EndSars Protest. We must remember the struggle. They killed our brothers and sisters. This time around, Nigerian youths will do the needful.”
