It’s no longer news that the multi award-winning HBO series ‘Game of Thrones’, will be dropping an official prequel to ‘House of the Dragon’, which focuses on the history of House Targaryen 300 years before the eight-seasoned storyline.
This is according to a public statement released by HBO on the new series based on ‘Fire & Blood’ by George R.R. Martin.
While fans across the globe await the release of House of the Dragon – slated for 2022, a good number of actors who will Cast on the series have been made known.
Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, a dragonrider and first-born child of King Viserys will be played by Emma D’Arcy with prior appearance in TV series ‘Truth Seekers’, while Matt Smith, will feature as heir to the throne Prince Daemon Targaryen, also the King’s younger brother and a reverred warrior.
Steve Toussaint of ‘Prince of Persia’, will star as Lord Corlys Velaryon, also known as ‘The Sea Snake’.
Regarded as ‘the most comely woman in the Seven Kingdoms’ by HBO, Alicent Hightower will be played by Olivia Cooke.
In other news, there is a little discuss on a stage show for the Game of Thrones series, currently in the pipeline by George Martin. The show will be focus singularly on the success story of G.O.T.
