In an effort to accelerate the speed of technical change in the industrial and production sectors, the UAE has created a national initiative with the goal of developing 1,000 technology projects.
The initiative calls for the construction of national centers for industrial empowerment and calls for the yearly export of high-tech Emirati goods valued at 15 billion dirhams ($4 billion).
“Our goal is a paradigm shift for the automation of the industry,” Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al- Maktoum, UAE’s vice president and ruler of Dubai, said in a tweet.
The program is in accordance with the country’s goal to become a major industrial centre by 2031.
In order to raise the industrial sector’s contribution to the gross domestic product from 133 billion dirhams in 2021 to 300 billion dirhams in 2031, the UAE launched Operation 300 billion last year.
