Ex Paris Saint-Germain coach, Thomas Tuchel, is set to become the new Chelsea manager.
The German coach who lost his job as PSG boss has previously had stints at Borussia Dortmund, Augsburg and Mainz in recent times.
According to reports, Tuchel will undergo a medical and sign an agreement with the club; and will most likely be in charge for Chelsea’s league fixture against Wolves on Wednesday.
The former UCL finalist will also work with his backroom staff during his time in charge at Stamford Bridge.
The hierarchy of the London football outfit had announced his imminent appointment yesterday following the sack of Frank Lampard.
With Lampard in the helm of affairs, Chelsea had won a single game in the EPL against the top 10 oppositions during this campaign.
His summer signings – Ben Chilwell, Kai Havertz, Timo Werner, Hakim Ziyech, Edouard Mendy and Thiago Silva have seemingly failed to yield the expected dividends.
Chelsea FC owner, Roman Abrahamovich had also released an official statement, alongside the club expressing how difficult it was to sack The Blues legend.
