A three-storey structure has collapsed on Sonuga Street, Palm Avenue, in the Mushin neighborhood of Lagos.
This occurs just two weeks after a seven-story structure in the state’s Oniru district collapsed, killing six people.
Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, the permanent secretary of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, who confirmed the most recent event, claimed it happened at noon.
“A building has collapsed on Sonuga Street, at Palm Avenue, in Mushin. Rescue Operation is ongoing . I will keep you posted,” he said.
Two people had been rescued from the fallen building, according to an update from the Lagos territorial head of the National Emergency Management Agency, Mr. Ibrahim Farinloye.
