Skales, Jaywon To Perform At Lagos Media Event

Popular artists Skales and Jaywon will take the stage at the Bodex Social Media Hangout on July 31, 2022.

The gathering, which is slated to take place at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, will bring together media figures, supporters, and stakeholders to discuss how social media has an impact on politics, education, and other aspects of daily life.

Veteran celebrities and social media influencers have also been invited to talk at this year’s hangout, according to a statement made accessible to The PUNCH on Friday.

Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the governor of Lagos State, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Marwa (retired), the head of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, and the consul general of South Africa are the special guests of honor for the day.

Other speakers at the event included the Director of Media and Advocacy for the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, the Director of Information and Strategy for the State of Lagos, Gbenga Omotoso.

Speaking on the relevance of the event, the convener, Florence Hungbo, said, “Social media is fast becoming one of the best information and collaboration tools all over the world where participants and users of different social platforms have been at the heart of societal transformation and progress globally so, there is a need for constant reminder among users on how best these platforms can be used.

“Volt Media Advisory, organisers of the media gathering, has put in place top notch experts as speakers, panelists and moderators, who will be having enriching conversations on the influence of social media on politics, business, world culture, education, mental health, careers and innovation.”

Asides from Jaywon and Skales, other performing artistes include Akohun Badagry Dancers, Humblesmith, GKB Unicycle academy, Ara, Wale Thompson, others and DJ Kexzy on the wheel.

Gbenga Adeyinka will serve as the event’s master of ceremonies, and Denrele Edun will host the green carpet session.
