According to the Saudi Press Agency, which cited Saleh bin Nasser Al-Jasser, the Saudi Minister of Transport and Logistics, preparations are being made to make four regional airports in the Kingdom available to the private sector.
Tuesday in Riyadh, the minister spoke at the Municipal Investment Forum. According to the newspaper, he stated that the Saudi Arabian transportation industry, which is witnessing a significant expansion in line with the National Transport and Logistics Strategy, presently offers 22 investment prospects.
The comprehensive program intends to advance all transportation services in support of Saudi Vision 2030 and establish the Kingdom as a global logistics center linking three continents. The goal of the strategy is to bring in SR600 billion ($160 billion).
Al-Jasser stated that it is essential to strengthen partnerships with the business sector in order to take advantage of the financing sources. In order to raise the Kingdom’s road quality index, he informed the forum that his ministry is also creating a road code.
