Vladimir Zelenskyy, the president of Ukraine, was involved in an automobile accident on Wednesday night in Kyiv while returning from a visit to a city that had been freed from the Russians.
Zelenskyy suffered only minor wounds, according to the President’s spokesperson Serhii Nykyforov, who verified the mishap in a Facebook post.
The Ukrainian president, according to Nykyforov, was returning through the capital after visiting the recently liberated city of Izium near Kharkiv when a driver struck his car and escort vehicles.
“His medical team gave the driver immediate care and transferred him to an ambulance before giving the all-clear.
An investigation into the incident has reportedly been opened, according to media reports in the war-torn nation. This comes after a leaked report claimed that Russian President Vladimir Putin’s limousine was “attacked in an assassination attempt,” leading some to speculate that the incident may have been an attempt on Zelensky’s life.
