Investigative journalist Kemi Olunloyo has poked fun at contentious Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh after it was revealed that she would be Tonte Ibraye’s running mate for governor of Rivers in the general election of 2023.
The mother of one stated in an interview after the announcement that she is confident in her capacity to thrive in her new role as Deputy Governor of Rivers State since she has never failed in a leadership position.
She claimed that despite her failures in other areas of her life, she had never failed in her leadership.
“I have failed in my life and I’m not denying that. Everyone has seen that. But am I going to fail with leadership? Have I failed in leadership? Start from motherhood, have I ever failed in motherhood, talk about my foundation. I think it was one of the foundations that stood up for this country, in the time of the pandemic, with no assistance whatsoever. I did even more than the government.” She said in part.

However, journalist Kemi Olunloyo has questioned Tonto Dikeh as being unqualified to serve in that capacity, perhaps in response to her claim that she has never failed in leadership.
After she interviewed her ex-lover, Kpokpogri, a few weeks ago, the mother of one allegedly threatened Kemi Olunloyo on social media and that Tonto Dikeh could never be rebranded.
Kemi Olunloyo posted on her verified Twitter account:
“Tonto aspiring to be the deputy governor of Rivers State in 2023🤣Rivers state is NOT for sale or cruise. Just 60 days ago this woman threatened me as a journalist and came to Lagos to specifically beat me. @LagosPoliceNG warned her to STOP making threats. Definitely cannot lead”.
