The Nigerian Bar Association’s (NBA) annual general meeting is taking place at the Eko Hotels & Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos.
Atiku Abubakar and Peter Obi, the respective presidential candidates for the Peoples Democratic Party and Labour Party, are in attendance.
Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress’ presidential candidate, is represented at the ceremony by Kashim Shettima, the party’s vice-presidential candidate.
The general conference for the 2022 NBA AGM, with the opening ceremony taking place today (Monday), is slated to be held between August 19 and 26. Its subject is “BOLD Transitions”.
Governors of the states of Edo and Plateau, respectively, Solomon Lalong and Godwin Obaseki, are also present at the ceremony.
Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is being defended by the Lagos State Attorney General, Moyosore Onigbanjo, who is also joined by the state’s Chief Judge, Kazeem Alogba.
The event’s keynote speaker is the celebrated Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie.
