President-elect of the United States of America, Joe Biden, has listed law practitioner – Funmi Olorunnipa Badejo in his presidential cabinet.
According to an announcement made, the U.S President-elect had selected 20 additional members for the office of the White House counsel including Badejo.
Prior to her appointment, the Berkeley Law College graduate had briefly served in President Obama’s tenure as ethics counsel.
Badejo’s appointment will see her work with other lawyers of the White House Counsel Office to advise the President, the Executive Office of the President, and the White House staff on legal issues pertaining to the president and the White House.
She joins a very brief list of Nigerian-Americans who has recently been appointed into Biden’s Presidential Cabinet.
Other appointments are; Adewale Adeyemo, who was appointed as the treasury department’s deputy secretary and Osaremen Okolo, who got added to Biden’s COVID-19 response team last month.
