African street rap Ilerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, better known by his stage as Mohbad, has recently released a song in which he criticizes his previous employer, Naira Marley. Recall that there was a reported argument between the two parties, and Mohbad tweeted that he had been physically attacked at Marlian’s residence because he wanted to switch managers.
In the recently released single, Mohbad created a direct diss track in which he took potshots at Naira Marley and other Marlian Records signees over their interactions. He said that Marlian Records was out for his life and had threatened to harm him and his parents. This is a charge he has previously leveled when he first came forth to ask for assistance regarding his problems with Marlian Records.
“Won ti se ojoro… won fe ma corner mi,” he says in the track and this translates to “they have cheated… they wanted to trick me.”
He continued by saying that although he may not have much, he is content and contented.
Recall that Naira Marley, the head of Marlian Record, came out to refute Mohbad’s allegations of physical assault after the news of the initial argument between the two parties. He also disclosed that Mohbad had been drinking when the incident occurred. Naira Marley’s assertion, according to Mohbad, was an effort to conceal the truth.
The latest development in the conflict between the parties is the diss track released by Mohbad, which comes after he decided to leave the label and recently served Naira Marley with contract termination documents.
