German playmaker, Mesut Ozil is reportedly set to join Turkish football club, Fenerbache.
The 2014 World Cup winner – who confirmed the deal in an interview with a Turkish media outfit – will join Fenerbache after successful talks with the player’s agent and Arsenal FC.
Ozil, who is yet to kick a ball for Arsenal this season, will join the Turkish club on a three-and-a-half year deal after his contract was terminated by the Gunners.
The midfielder, who was Arsenal’s highest earner during his stint at the club, was frozen out by Mikel Arteta and had failed to feature for the club since March 2020.
He was also left out of the Gunner’s Premier League and Europa League squads for this season with his contract due to expire this summer.
