Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku, who has been sidelined since August with a thigh injury, resumed team training with Inter Milan on Thursday.
Following his team’s Serie A loss at Lazio, Lukaku suffered a left thigh injury during training and hasn’t played for Inter since.
He may, however, sit on the bench for the match against Fiorentina on Saturday and has a chance to play against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday.
If Inter defeats Plzen at the San Siro after defeating Barcelona in their previous two Group C games, they will have already secured a spot in the round of 16 of the Champions League.
Simone Inzaghi‘s team is presently ranked seventh in Serie A, eight points behind league leaders Napoli, and is five points behind group leaders Bayern Munich.
