The joint UAE-Bahrain anti-terror exercise Jalmud 3 has highlighted the value of regional security and stability, according to a statement from Manama’s representative in Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalid bin Abdulla bin Ali Al-Khalifa.
“The exercise, conducted by the BDF Royal Guard and the UAE Presidential Guard represents one of the forms of military and security cooperation between the two brotherly countries and reflects their keenness and commitment to support maintain international peace and security,” he said in a report from Bahrain News Agency.
Both the rulers of the Gulf states, King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa and Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, were present for the military drill.
The exercise, according to Sheikh Khalid, confirmed “the importance accorded by both leaders to the role of security and stability in advancing sustainable development objectives and preserving regional stability.”
The Sheikh Mohamed, who was visiting Bahrain, highlighted “the strong, distinguished ties their countries share and their keenness to strengthen and develop them in various areas” during earlier discussions between the Gulf leaders to find ways to further improve cooperation between their nations, according to UAE state news agency WAM.
Sheikh Mohamed also visited the Sakhir Airbase, the site of the Bahrain International Airshow 2022, where he received an update on the most recent advancements in Bahrain’s civil and military aviation industry in terms of cutting-edge systems, technology, and solutions.
