German Coach, Joachim Low has included experienced duo; Mats Hummels and Thomas Muller in his 26-man squad for the upcoming Euros.
Despite stating in March 2019 that he would no longer call up both players, Low has made a significant u-turn, ending Germany’s two-year spell without both players.
The tournament which starts in June will see Germany compete for the much elusive trophy with key names missing out on the cut.
Chelsea players; Rudiger, Havertz and Werner also made the list, despite the latter having a less-impressive season in his first year at England. Leeds’ Robin Koch, Manchester City’s Ilkay Gundogan and Arsenal’s Bernd Leno were also key inclusions from top English clubs.
Key omissions were Barcelona’s shot-stopper, Ter Stegen who missed out due to an impending knee operation while defender, Jerome Boateng remain out of Joachim Low’s plans for the team.
