The National Democratic Alliance, a pro-democracy organization, has cautioned Femi Fani-Kayode, a former minister of aviation, not to make statements that could worsen the countryโs security problems.
In a statement released on Sunday in Abuja by its Secretary, Biodun Olajumoke, the group offered advice.
In a video after certain terrorist assaults, Fani-Kayode recently blamed military leadership for the unrest in the nation, Olajumoke remembered.
According to him, the former minister claimed that senior commanders were doing nothing on the battlefield while young and younger officers were giving it their all.

Fani-Kayode claimed that it was getting harder and harder to understand the leadership of the Nigerian Armed Forcesโ โglaring incompetence and lack of patriotism, professionalism, diligence, and courage.โ
Olajumoke responded to the video by accusing Fani-Kayode of expressing anger over the militaryโs fealty to and complete submission to legitimate authority under Gen. Lucky Irabor.
He claims that rather than offering solutions to security-related problems, Femi-Faniย Kayodeย appears to be an intentional attempt to increase uncertainty and polarization.
He claimed that Fani-Kayode was aware that political unrest was one of the factors contributing to the security issues.
The secretary exhorted Fani-Kayode to propose sincere solutions to the dilemma and added that all military personnel, including junior troops, junior officers, and senior officers, had been impacted by the security issues.
He claimed that to overcome the adversary, the country needed to support the military rather than criticize or incite military troops against one another.
