Gareth Bale’s move to Tottenham Hotspur is gathering pace gradually.
The player’s agent revealed to Sky Sports News that the Real Madrid player has never been closer to leaving the Spanish capital club since his then world-record transfer in 2013, and is now hoping for the green light to fly to London in his private jet and complete the deal.
A potential loan move is been discussed with Spurs by Bale’s advisors and talks have now gotten to the stage that lawyers have come in to draw up contracts.
Bale won’t refuse a return to Spurs – a place he spent six seasons between 2007 and 2013 – if a deal can be agreed with Real Madrid.
Bale’s agent, Jonathan Barnett, told Sky Sports News that “There’s a long way to go on some issues, but without doubt Gareth is closer to leaving Madrid than at any time in last seven years,” .
“The deal is complicated, but there’s reason to believe a deal is close and things could move very quickly if discussions continue to go well.”
