Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for the 2023 presidential election, stated on Wednesday that there were plots to sabotage the general elections by creating a gasoline shortage and redesigning the naira.
Tinubu made the statement in Abeokuta, Ogun State, while holding his presidential campaign rally.
“They don’t want this election to hold. They want to sabotage it. Will you allow them?”, Tinubu asked the teeming supporters at the MKO Abiola stadium, Kuto, Abeokuta.
However, the former governor of Lagos assured that Nigerians will journey despite the petrol shortage to cast their votes.
He predicted that the upcoming elections would be a better revolution.
“They have started coming up with the issue of ‘no fuel’. Don’t worry, if there is no fuel, we will trek to cast the vote.
“If you like increase price of fuel, hide the fuel or change the ink on the naira notes, we will win the election,” he said.
