Former Nigerian international, Mutiu Adepoju has praised Villarreal forward Samuel Chukwueze following his outstanding display in his side’s 1-1 draw against Real Madrid over the weekend.
The former Real Madrid player however suggests that Chukwueze can be a better player if the 21 years old can improve on his finishing and killer instinct.
Although Chukwueze shone in the weekend La Liga encounter against the defending champion but he fluffed too many scoring opportunities which could have handed his team all three points if they were well taken
Mutiu Adepoju who is a La Liga ambassador told Goal; “When he was brought on in the second half, he really caused havoc against Real Madrid,”
“He was the brain behind the goal Villarreal scored and overall, he had a very great game.
“However, when he gets near the goal, he rushes and fires off target because he is not calming down.
“Probably, he needs to work on his finishing skills during training because I feel with his dribbling abilities, he should be scoring more goals.
“He has made an impact in the few games he has played [this season] and I still believe he is still in the right direction.”
