‘The Age of Adaline’ Director, Lee Roland Krieger, has been geered to take charge of the first two episodes of HBO Max’s ‘Green Lantern’ series.
Based on the DC characters akin to space, the top-budget sci-fi police show will also receive backing from Berlanti Productions and Warner Bros. Television; with actors – Jeremy Irvine and Finn Wittrock being cast as heroes.
Krieger, who has been tipped as an iconic film-piloter, will serve as Director as well as Executive Producer on the series; adding to a decorated list of works handled by him in the past including Shadows and Bone, Deadly Class, and Celeste & Jesse Forever
He also directed the pilot for Superman and Lois, and for Riverdale, the popular CW show based on the Archie comics, Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, and Fox’s Prodigal Son.
Recently, the ‘Green Lantern’ series have featured Jeremy Irvine to play Alan Scott, the original Lantern who hides his gay identity in 1941 America, while Finn Wittrock will play macho man Lantern Guy Gardner for storyline set in the go-go 1980s. Another notable character to look out for will be half-alien Bree Jarta.
