Former Chairman of the Presidential Task Team on Pension Reforms (PTTPR), Abdulrasheed Maina has been arrested by Nigeria Intelligence Service operatives and anti-corruption agents yesterday evening.
The ex-pension boss was apprehended in Niger Republic after a reported security agreement was made between both countries on mutual terms.
Maina who has been accused by the EFCC of laundering the sum of N2billion currently faces a 12-count charge for money laundering issued by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Earlier last week, a presiding Judge of the Federal High Court, Justice Okon Abang had summoned Senator Ali Ndume who stood as surety when Maina jumped bail.
The Northern law maker was however released four days back while Maina remains in custody of anti-corruption agents after his apprehension on Monday evening.
