The Palestinian Health Ministry has confirmed the death of ten of its citizens in West Bank following violent clashes with Israeli forces on Friday.
Recent attacks in Southern Israel also meant the Israel-Palestine exchange had gone into its fifth day, with ceaseless air strikes between both countries.
The report also confirmed the highest number of people killed in a single day at West Bank in several years. Also, the Palestinian Red Crescent stated recently that the violence involved live ammunition, rubber bullets and teargas, as seen on video footages all over the net.
The Israeli Government reiterated that they would continue to target Palestinian militants in Gaza. A move which has left 126 people dead, with more than 30 being children.
A report confirmed that about 950 people have sustained injuries; with more than 500 Palestinians amongst that figure due to Israeli airstrikes.
Furthermore, no less than 10,000 people have been displaced from their homes in Gaza. This is according to UN Deputy Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process – Lynn Hastings.
“We’re seeing a lot of these people coming to the UN agency in Gaza that deals with refugees, which means they are now in schools… they’re being sheltered there,” Hastings confirmed in an interview.
