Manchester City Midfielder Ilkay Gundogan has tested positive for coronavirus following the latest round of testing.
In accordance with Premier League and UK Government protocol on quarantine, Gundogan will be observing self-isolation for a period of 10 days.
The German is likely to miss three matches for City during his self-isolation, including Monday’s league clash against Wolverhampton Wanderers, as well as City’s Carabao Cup game against Bournemouth on Thursday, and Sunday’s league game against Leicester City.
Gundogan becomes the third City player to test positive for the virus, following winger Riyad Mahrez and defender Aymeric Laporte.
Mahrez and Laporte returned to training last week but City boss Guardiola said only Mahrez would be available for selection against Wolves.
