Justice Ibrahim Tanko Muhammad, the Chief Justice of Nigeria, has resigned, weeks after he was accused of corruption by fourteen justices of the Supreme Court.
Two trustworthy sources in the Supreme Court reportedly confirmed the CJN’s resignation under the guise of anonymity, according to a report shown on Arise News Channel.
Justice Muhammad reportedly traveled to Dubai in the United Arab Emirates last year to receive treatment for an unidentified illness.
His departure follows a letter of complaint from his brother Supreme Court justices regarding subpar social services.
