Bruno Fernandes is optimistic about Manchester United winning more trophies and increases the likelihood of Manchester United claiming silverware this season due to the presence of his compatriot, Christiana Ronaldo.
Bruno Fernandes has been said to have played a key part in convincing the 36-year-old to return to United after 12 years away.
Recall that Ronaldo’s transfer from Juventus has dominated the football headlines ever since being announced with everyone now looking forward to his potential second debut, when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side take on Newcastle at the weekend.
Although Fernandes has been out of the country and has not yet worked at Carrington with his international team-mate, it’s clear that he feels the same buzz around the transfer as the rest of us and he hopes for them to win more trophies since Ronaldo is said to likely remain in Manchester United till, he turns 42.
And he believes the former Real Madrid star’s legendary winning mentality will only help boost the desire of an already hungry United squad.
“We know the enthusiasm will be red hot, everyone knows Cristiano is in the house,” Bruno said, while away with the Selecao.
“Everyone is very confident and happy that he is back, the players too.
“We know what he can give us, and our focus, like Cristiano’s, is to win.
“With him, we know we are closer to winning trophies”
