Bbnaija Season 7 Premieres July 23

The date for the launch of Big Brother Naija’s seventh season has been revealed by the show’s producers.

The seventh season of BBNaija will premiere on July 23 and 24, 2022.

By 7:00 pm on both days, the program will debut on GOTV channel 29 and DSTV channel 198.

Season 7 of BBNaija, one of the most popular reality TV programs in Africa, started accepting applications on May 15, 2022.

With many of its contestants going on to become celebrities, BBNaija is arguably the most watched reality program in the nation.

Katung Aduwak, a playwright and production assistant, won the $100,000 top prize in the inaugural season of the reality show, which aired in 2006. The show’s second season (See Gobe), which debuted on January 22, 2017, followed an 11-year hiatus. Rapper Efe Ejeba, who was born in Warri, Delta State, eventually took home the N25 million big prize for winning that season.

Miracle Igbokwe, a pilot, won the third season (Double Wahala) in 2018, which came after. Igbokwe received N25 million, a brand-new Hyundai Tuscon SUV, household appliances worth N3 million, a trip for two to a far-off place, a year’s worth of Pepsi and Aquafina water, and other gifts.

Mercy Eke, a video vixen and entrepreneur, won the 2019 season, dubbed “Pepper Dem,” taking home N30m, an Innoson SUV estimated to be worth N25m, a vacation to Dubai, and other prizes.

The fifth season of the program, appropriately titled the “Lockdown Edition,” aired in 2020 in the midst of the COVID-19 epidemic. Olamilekan Agbeleshe, aka Laycon, another rapper and University of Lagos alumnus who won it, took home N30m, an Innoson Motors SUV worth N30m, a two-bedroom apartment, a trip to Dublin, Ireland, as well as other prizes.

Whitemoney took home N90m in rewards after winning the previous competition in 2021.
