The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirmed 246 new coronavirus cases across ten states including the FCT.
This brings the total number COVID-19 cases recorded across the country beyond 66,000.
The recent cases were confirmed by the NCDC on their official Twitter page on November 21, 2020.
From the report, three states recorded more than 40 cases — with Lagos recording 66, Plateau 44 and the FCT with 48 positive cases. There was also a recorded death which brought the total number of fatalities to 1,166 in Nigeria.
The number of discharged patients were 102 which sums up to 61,884 in the nation since the first recorded case.
A breakdown of discharged patients sees Lagos top the list with 21,436 out of 22,902 confirmed cases; FCT comes next with 5,941 out of 6,492 infections, while Plateau has recorded the third highest figure with 3,800 positive samples, out of which 3,656 people have been discharged.
At the moment, Lagos poses the highest number of active cases with 1,246 and a total of 66,228 in the nation since recording its first case.
