2022 WAFCON: ‘Don’t Rule Super Falcons Out’ —Eucharia Uche

Eucharia Uche, a former Super Falcons’ head coach, claims that despite their loss to South African Banyana Banyana, the nine-time African champions cannot be written off.

The Falcons’ 2-1 loss to South Africa in their opening Group C match of the ongoing 2022 WAFCON has rendered today’s match against Botswana, who are making their debut, a must-win.

The Falcons’ last group encounter will pit them against Burundi, another team making their debut, after the contest with Botswana.

Uche, a former Nigerian international, expressed optimism that the Falcons will win their remaining two group games prior to the match with Botswana.

“Falcons will comfortably win these two games against Botswana and Burundi,” Uche said on Brila FM.

“They will comfortably pick wins in these two games and then reshuffle and regroup to know that they are into the competition proper.

“I can never rule out the Falcons out because they lost to South Africa.”
